About this aircraft
- Out-performing the CJ1 and Citation Mustang in almost every category, the Cessna Citation M2 launched in 2011 and deliveries began in 2013.
- The cabin is configured to seat four or five passengers, with a further seat available in the lavatory. An additional passenger can sit in the cockpit if the aircraft is owned, but this option isn’t available for charters.
- With a 2,871 km range, the M2 can easily complete routes like London to Ibiza and New York to Atlanta.
- There’s enough baggage space for around five suitcases.
- The upgraded M2 Gen2 was announced in 2021 and delivered in 2022, with an improved cabin and better performance than its predecessor.
The M2 was designed as a modified version of the CJ1+ and Mustang with new interiors, engines and avionics. These qualities put the M2 and M2 Gen2 at the pinnacle of the light jet market, with a performance that rivals even the larger and more popular Citation CJ2+.
